Open Prep & ⚡Power (Half) Hour!

Tomorrow is the first day of our 6 week Open Prep programme! If you missed our announcement last week, you can catch-up here.

There are still a lot of details to be finalised as to how the Open is going to work this year given the different levels of lockdown worldwide (even Dave Castro's 15 minute video on YouTube didn't really enlighten us as to the finer details as yet). One thing we can assure you is that Sleven will be involved as much as our level of lockdown will allow. As more details come to light, we will keep you informed with the exact details.

What does this mean?

It means that we have something to train for!

We know your motivation levels to train are at an all time low and living room workouts aren't all that appealing anymore so this is a fun way to put some purpose back into your training and work towards something with your training buddies.

These first 2 weeks are all about building up your volume and your ability to perform a high level of reps over the course of a workout. The workouts will be on the longer side and all of the movements will be familiar to you. It's also a good way to ease back in if you haven't been training too much recently.

Week 1 Highlights

  • Tuesday's 20 min shoulder blaster of mountain climbers, overhead lunges and handstand push-ups
  • Friday's FNL partner WOD that is going to test your core and leg strength
  • Saturday's EMOM is a tough test of burpees, thrusters and double-unders.

Are you worried about coming out of Lockdown small and weak? Then get ready for POWER HOUR – our brand new, one-off programme designed to get you building muscle and size through strength work, Successories and SWODS.

Coach Julz has designed it to be complementary to all the conditioning work you'll be doing for the Open and we are pleased to announce we will be including half of the programme in our regular Zoom schedule. This means that on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays you now get POWER HALF HOUR at 18:00 before your Open Prep conditioning at 18:30.

The full month of Power Hour programming can be accessed below. It is password protected for members which you can find on Wodify. If you have any issues accessing it, just ping us an email and we'd be happy to help.
